The Best Beaches Near Park Shore Resort: A Naples Local’s Guide

Fishing pier stretching into the Gulf of Mexico at Naples, Florida

Naples, Florida is famous for its beaches — but not all of them offer the same experience. Whether you’re staying with us at Park Shore Resort for a week of relaxation or squeezing in a day trip between pool sessions, here’s our honest guide to the stretches of sand worth your time.

Park Shore Beach

The closest beach to home, and our personal favorite for a reason. Park Shore Beach is quieter than the more crowded stretches downtown, with soft white sand and calm, shallow water that’s ideal for families. Public beach access points are just a short walk or bike ride from the resort, so you can be toes-in-the-sand within minutes of leaving your condo.

Naples Municipal Beach & Pier

A few minutes south, the historic Naples Pier is the postcard shot of Southwest Florida — especially at sunset, when locals and visitors alike gather to watch the sky turn orange over the Gulf. The beach here is wider and livelier, with nearby cafes and shops if you want to make a morning of it.

Vanderbilt Beach

Heading north, Vanderbilt Beach draws a slightly younger, more active crowd, with paddleboard and kayak rentals right on the sand. It’s a great choice if your group wants a bit more energy alongside the natural beauty.

Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park

For a more untouched, natural setting, this state park protects nearly a mile of undeveloped coastline. It’s a favorite for shelling, birdwatching, and watching boats pass through the pass between the Gulf and Wiggins Bay.

Our Tip

Whichever beach you choose, go early. Gulf Coast mornings are calm, cool, and quiet — the water is like glass, and you’ll have your pick of parking and sand before the afternoon crowds arrive. Then come back to Park Shore Resort’s own pools and gardens to cool off for round two.
