No stay at Park Shore Resort feels complete without an evening walk out along Naples Pier, the city’s most recognizable landmark and, in our honest opinion, the best sunset spot on this stretch of the Gulf Coast. The pier extends out over the water at the west end of 12th Avenue South, giving you an open, uninterrupted view as the sky turns orange and pink over the water.
By day, it’s a working pier — anglers line the railings fishing for snook and pompano, and you’ll often spot dolphins or manatees passing beneath. By evening, it becomes something closer to a local ritual, with residents and guests alike gathering to watch the sun drop into the Gulf.
Arrive about 30 minutes before sunset to find a good spot along the railing, and stay after for a quiet walk back along the beach. It’s an easy, unhurried outing that captures exactly what makes Naples worth slowing down for.
